Tru by Jay Presson Allen stars Tony Award winning actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family) as Truman Capote, author of such noted novels as Breakfast at Tiffany’s and In Cold Blood.

Set in his New York apartment in December 1975, following the publication of an excerpt from his tell-all novel Answered Prayers – which alienated him from his high-society friends – the play depicts him alone, reflecting on his life, career and the fallout from the book, while dealing with his loneliness, addiction and his complex relationships.
